Shot Peening Effect on Reduced Graphene Oxide-based AA1070 Alloys Produced by Stir Casting Technique

The shot peening effects of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) additive on the structural, residual stress, hardness and surface roughness AA1070 composites were investigated reported in detail for first time. It can be said that with increasing amounts rGO added into alloy, is randomly distributed Al matrix amounts. XRD analysis shows there no trace carbon matrix, showing structure did not diffuse during casting. However, EDS analysis, it was determined value increased due to presence rGO. Although has been studied according differences ball diameters, observed relative between forging times affect changes samples. also values directly related times. On other hand, area forged decreases While should increase after peening, cold deformation expected rGO, therefore, a decrease peened occurs. This compatible stress results as well.
